jamie & kaci's wedding!

after a crazy night of roller skating and karaoke, the wedding party and most of the guests rallied for an afternoon wedding. the groomsmen looked their best, of course.

as it should be with this type of event, the photo taking level was set to high. at left chris larry shakes up the polaroid action as he and i go for that ever fun trick of taking a picture of someone taking a picture of that person. dan, the more sensible photographer among us, snaps a show of jamie's nephew and arlo, jamie & kaci's dog).

mooney and yu presented jamie and kaci with a collection of photographs taken at the civil ceremony that was held in brooklyn. and looking to liven up the mood, dave manages to end up with frosting on his chin.

after dinner, toasts were made to congratulate the bride and groom.

as the sun began to set, jamie and kaci had their first dance as a married couple. (click this photo and follow the next few to see jamie dancing with his mom and kaci dancing with her dad).

alex arrived at the wedding with his brand new crutches (roller skating accident the previous evening). the crutches didn't get his spirits down and he managed to do some dancing. also taking the dancefloor were amy and donovan.

annalisa congratulates jamie and then tries to turn the conversation to convincing him that there should be another memorial day gathering in the outer banks because the gathering for 2004 didn't really happen and the one for 2003 was so good..

fireworks! everyone loves fireworks! with music in the background, everyone does a little dancing and a little sparkler shaking!

as the official wedding reception winds to a close, those staying at the hotel find the shuttle bus and prepare for an after-party.

at the hotel, alaina enters the room and proclaims that it smells like feet.

the party moves to a larger hotel suite with a fancy jacuzzi tub. marc and sujan chill like gangsters and, at left, shawn parties it up in those crazy mtv ways.

eventually, the siren song of the waffle house (conveniently located a few blocks from the hotel) cannot be resisted. pockets of wedding goers find themselves drawn to all things scattered, smothered and covered.

the next day, a large portion of the d.c. posse (along with jim, patrick and me) gathers for lunch before heading out for a return to the east coast.
