For the second night in a row, I found myself
at the local bar. Jim and I had spoken earlier in the day and
decided that Thursday night was definitely one that called for
drinking and general socializing. The party only grew as Dan,
Michelle and eventually Jamie and his friend Matt joined us. |

Matt (visiting from DC), Jim, Michelle and Dan think
friendly thoughts about the silly stories that were shared during
the night. |
Jamie told an especially funny story about moving
into his new apartment. He'd brought a small tricycle to town
from his youth. And I couldn't resist riding this tricycle down
the moving van ramp. Needless to say, I toppled over (the ramp
was slippery due to the rain, I swear) and spilled my beer. Jim
and Dan show concern but were soon relieved to learn that I escaped
from the incident unscathed. Or maybe Jamie was just telling
a story about a young woman he met. |

While at O'Connor's all I could think was "tomorrow -
I'm getting a haircut tomorrow!" |

Dan, Matt and Jamie argue the finer points of (insert
obscure baseball rule here). |
Dan shares his memorable "date" from the
previous week. |
Look, Mr. Raphael, your son has been conned into having
a cigarette! |
Jim and I were at the bar for two hours and we somehow
failed to realize that Anne was sitting nearby the entire time.
Here she and Jim share a moment. I was being intrusive. |
