| BILL'S 2001 MOVIE LIST | |||
|
These are all the movies that I've seen this year: 13. tie - The Score, Heist both movies are very similar Heist may be slightly better but The Score evens it up because it doesn't showcase predictable twist after >predictable twist. The Score simply has one suprise ending. Saw Heist with Dan! 11. The Mexican saw this in Hawaii. not too good, but not a total piece of shit because of James Gandolfini. 10. Pearl Harbor The preview that came out about a year ago was the best I had ever seen. The recreation of Dec. 7th was incredible which makes the movie still very enjoyable for me, despite the dialogue. I thought the little love triangle was kind of cool. Doolittle's Raid should be a whole 'nother movie, not a way to kill off one of the main characters, who never would have been involved in the raid in the first place. 9. Shallow Hal I love Jack Black, but this leading man stuff, even for the Farrelly Bros, is a little too subdued for him. 8. Shrek I think I liked Toy Story 2 better. I didn't quite buy into all the hype for this movie, but still a whole lot of fun. 7. Osmosis Jones Second best cartoon movie of the year! Bill Murray is so disgusting! Tammy liked the Science! 6. Bridget Jones' Diary Yet another semi-adaptation of Pride and Predjudice, but this flick is very funny. Probably Tammy's favorite. 5. A.I. I dug the darkness and the sadness as well as the return of Ministry! 4. Monsters, Inc. was loving the movie before the "outtakes" and musical they'd showed at the end. 3. Memento utterly interesting and confusing, most original movie I think I've ever seen and so much discussion to go along with it. 2. Royal Tenenbaums Nos. 3, 2 and 1 could probably go in any order but I do tend to love comedies more so then dramas/mysteries, etc. which is why Royal Tenenbaums takes it's place at number 2. There is so much subtle humor in Anderson's movies, which is why I love them so much. 1. Lord of the Rings Lord of the Rings encompasses everything about why we (although, I guess I should say "I") go to see movies. I was completely thrilled by this epic. I think I could have sat through all 9 hours. I guess that's about it. There are still a few 2001 movies that I'm sure I'll get the chance to see eventually (Black Hawk Down, The Man Who Wasn't There, Glitter) so I reserve the right to update this list.
