I just heard the Coffee Flats Terrors will face Team ODIN on Saturday. The match is scheduled to begin at 3pm. I'm sad I'll not get to see Bad News Pandas in uniform. Bad News Pandas is one of my favorite team names.

If you're looking for a full weekend of bocce action, Saturday's Tourney starts at noon.

It's time to roll again!

This Saturday (April 29th) is the day the Coffee Flats Terrors head back to Floyd for our tenth match of the season. We'll face Team ODIN as we try to better our 8 and 1 record. The match starts at 3:30.

A quick look at the standings, shows that we may not be in first place. Statistically, it looks like the Plop-n-Drops have a better record with five wins and zero losses. Standings and scores seem to be a week of matches behind, though. The last match listed on the website was played Monday, April 10th.

Team ODIN isn't the only undeafeted group of players. Two other teams share that same rung in the standings. I've heard rumors that every season during the tournament, one team who performed poorly during the regular season manages to make a surprising showing, defeating better teams. Have I just jinxed the Terrors by mentioning this? Is there superstition in bocce? Will ODIN be that come-from-behind-team? Burn Baby Burn? Bad News Pandas?

The tournament starts May 13th. Reserve your seats now.

This Saturday (3/11/06) the Terrors take on Team ODIN. Game time is 3:30pm.

It's possible we'll start on time as there is only one game before this one.

Once again, Terrors, we must spend our Saturday afternoon with something other than bocce.

In the meantime, anyone interested in pooling our monies together to purchase this light up bocce set? (Check out this bocce photo I found on flickr. I'm not sure if the photographer is using this set or something else, though.)

Our next match is Saturday, March 11th. We take on Team ODIN.

For those team members not adept at storing old emails or saving spreadsheets into special folders marked "bocce" I've copied the upcoming schedule of CFT games. All games are on Saturday, as I'm sure everyone knows. We've got a few off weeks, so remember to keep your play sharp between mid-February and mid-March. Feel free to schedule activities in April, as we've got some down time then, too.
