This past Monday night Coffee Flats Terrors defeated Mamalukes. The match went three games. I think everyone had a good time.

indeed, it was quite the good time. nice to see everyone just out enjoying themselves again. plus, i'm putting aside the drill sergeant push-up routine this time around and just stick to the occasional motivational admonishment.
in fact, i'm prepared to call this the Bocce Era of Good Feelings. just like after the War of 1812, i think both sides are prepared to put aside partisan bitterness and rally behind a single party. i was going to extend the metaphor to the Monroe Doctrine, the Missouri Compromise and the "Corrupt Bargain" of 1824, but that's probably excessive.
