Seriously, check out the logo for the West Oahu Canefires. It's like Johnny Storm takes up baseball for 6-year olds. I'm all for these sorts of graphics on Saturday morning cartoons but not when I want to cheer on a baseball team. Where has all the class gone, people?

Here's a bit more info about the Hawaiian Winter League moving to Arizona. Still no reference to the not so stellar logos. And the way professional baseball as appeared and disappeared in our island state makes me think I'll have a chance to see a game or two there at some point in my life.

The shutting down of professional baseball in Hawaii is pretty disappointing. I flipped through the league website a few times, hoping to find a decent shirt or ballcap to order but never could find a decent logo. Of course, the lack of good logos doesn't seem to be the reason the league is folding and moving that level of play to Arizona.
