I just watched the season premiere of FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS. Sadly, I've decided to stop watching the show. NJ Star Ledger critic Alan Sepinwall's column from today hinted about a serious twist toward the end of the episode. He's right, I think it really ruins this once great series.
I've also yet to find a new show worth raving about. PUSHING DAISIES was good and I'll watch the second and third episodes. I'm intrigued but not sold on it. BIONIC WOMAN was terrible and I can't believe I forced myself to watch the second episode. The show has no life or energy.
I feel terrible dissing all of these shows because I'm sure the people behind the shows put a lot of effort into them. I usually like to hold to the idea that if you can't say something nice you shouldn't say anything at all. That's not happening this TV season. I'm bummed about the whole thing and I want to know if it's just me.
REAPER episode 2 was just a weak rehash of REAPER episode 1. Same goes for CHUCK episode 2. A few moments in both shows that are enjoyable, but if episode 3 isn't better for each, I'm ready to stop watching.
THE BIG BANG THEORY. BACK TO YOU. CAVEMEN. CARPOOLERS ALIENS IN AMERICA. Really? Is this what America wants from sitcoms? I was able to stomach 20 minutes of each.
I'm about to watch the second episode of DIRTY SEXY MONEY. I really hope it's good. I'd like to be watching at least one new show in November.
BIG SHOTS didn't work for me. CANE seemed like it was trying too hard. K-VILLE was just awful.
I sort of like LIFE in the way I like MEDIUM and BONES. It's a show I'll watch and enjoy but that I have trouble justifying to anyone. I think Alex and Anne both refer to this genre as MomTV.
Is there any TV to look forward to?
