why is keith foulke so bad?

whoo. that's an exhausted "whoo" and not one of full on cheer and celebration. i feel like it's been a long day. the longest part was the hour spent between waking up and the nathan's hot dog eating contest. i watched on tv. i didn't actually head to coney. but in honor of the competitive eating festivities i did have more than my fair share of hot dogs today. and then (from the park) it was firewalks watched from a rooftop in windsor terrace. i managed to catch the b67 home. passing the ice cream shops along park slope's 7th avenue i marvelled at the long lines of people waiting for their frozen treats. and now i'm watching baseball. i don't think it gets more american.

in other news, i've decided to start podcasting. that means i'm now using itunes instead of musicmatch (see previous blog entry). the podcast archive can be found at balgavy.com/podcast. and the rss feed for my podcast is http://www.balgavy.com/podcast/rss.xml. if you've got some downtime, check it out. this first 'cast consists of an interview i did almost ten years ago with underground filmmaker craig baldwin. and there's some other brief nonsense in there from the mid-to-late 90's.

i hope to update the podcast on a weekly basis. we'll see how it goes, though. don't be surprised if i pull out the italk and my ipod when we're hanging out. nothing's more fun than the impromptu interview.
