i didn't overthink the voting

last night i hosted an oscar party. if you weren't invited, please accept my apologies. i am very forgetful.

the turnout this year wasn't as high as in years past, but i think that may have worked to my advantage. with twelve of us dropping a few bucks into the prize pool, i passed around ballots and we made our picks for best whatever. somehow, i won. my first year ever! whoo!

jamie and erik spent much of the night (along with amy) keeping track of their scores - all ranking near the bottom of the pack. about halfway through the party it was decided that the loser - the person with the fewest points at the end of the night - would be forced to drink the lone bottle of smirnoff ice that mysteriously appeared in the fridge.

yeah, congratulations on your victory. nice job.
did you take that picture after everyone else had left?

who came up with the idea of drinking the smirnoff? was it erik's idea? and then he somehow made it so he would have to drink it?

youthlarge's idea. youthlarge's smirnoff ice.

if that was the loser prize at a party i was at, i would do everything in my power to come in dead last.

i actually took that photo as soon as i won the money! i tried to face all the bills first (it's one of my very few obsessive compulsive traits) but i don't think i succeeded.

Next time spread it out on the bed and roll in it: I have some photos from Vegas of a very drunken me, taken not long after I insisted that the cage change the $1600 I miraculously won into singles.

For the record, the winnings lasted 48 hours. I needed a cowboy hat, I needed breakfast on four occasions (the lack of clocks messed me up), I needed liquor, and I needed to dance non-stop with lady luck. That harridan.
