happy new year, indeed

one of my favorite bloglines subscriptions is FOUND MAGAZINE'S FIND OF THE WEEK. the found item for this week is just super-friendly. it's a photo taken a few decades ago outside an elementary school. a handful of children have bags over their heads that spell the phrase "HAPPY NEW YEAR". the colors are outrageous and fun and the shadow of the photographer's head really makes the image work for me. check it out and add the rss feed to your rss reader now.

I saw Found magazine at the Visionary Arts Museum gift shop in Baltimore and picked up the issue they had (#2) - a great idea and a really interesting read. I'm tempted to pick up the other two - have you seen them available anywhere in the city?

I saw Found magazine over Thanksgiving at the Visionary Arts Museum gift shop in Baltimore. They had issue #2 and I found it mesmerizing - have you seen #1 or 3 available anywhere in the city?

Strange how you can say the same thing twice in less than a minute in a strikingly different way. The first time I tried to post the window closed before I had a chance to do so (or so I thought) and came back up blank - so I tried again. Now you have a semi-duplicate (and a worthless explanation); oh well.
