the baseball update

my fantasy baseball team recently jumped to second place, after a long spell in the third slot. apes is making a push for the money, while listmaker is busying himself with his new blog having slipped into third place. also in contention is bile & venom, who is convinced that all his brooklyn internet friends need to belong to some sort of guild.

and, for those of you who don't read baseball musings, last night they pointed to a link in harvard magazine about the history of the catcher's mask.

Thanks for the link!

Have you not noticed my slow but recently productive rise to the top. It's time, fear has set in with the 11 other members. My waiver wire moves are pure brilliance. Check out Aaron Miles, Damian Miller, Bryan Lawrence, Scott Hatteberg, Rondell White, and Royce Clayton all waiver scrubbs giving me solid game. My trades got jacked by skeptics, but JD Drew HUGE, Steve Traschel GOOD, Joe CREDE HEATED UP, Matt Lawton HUGE, Joel Pinero No wins but era/whip kicken right now. Hell I even cut Arthur Rhodes to pick up Tim Worrell who has gotten me a cheap save and quaility innings.

F Beckett,
Manager Larry

Oh and I forgot Shea Hillenbrand, waiver wire, just as he hit a hot streak. Nice work Bo. Have another roofie.
