we'll go pick up the keg
that's what we thought we heard ryan say to sandy, et al. turns out he and marissa were going to pick up the CAKE. it makes more sense that way. but it also removed the best part of the show.
what a snoozer of an episode for THE O.C.
the trailer for next week looked good, though.

i thought it was okay. all of the episodes seem to start off at a dizzying pace and then just kind of fall flat at the end. mad props to kfan for predicting the Summer family intro. my fave lines:
My grandma wears UGGS. - Seth
Bob Seger is not [air quote] so over [/air quote]. - JuJu
Do you think they'll ever do anything with Ryan's hair? It's so 1984.

sorry to be predictable, but i liked it. i liked the celery's gay line, i loved "the sophistication of, say, an alan moore, but maybe that's too inside for you," juju likes monster trucks, marbot was almost TOLERABLE in the scene where we meet aunt cindy, "nothing good ever happens at our parties," and i liked the crash & burn of seth with mr roberts. i mean, it's good. he'll return to being our sad little emo nerd, which is what we like, right?
also there was another good line at the beginning but i don't remember it. it was something about seth being sarcastic and ryan being pouty, because that's what they always do? or something.
anyways, good episode.

ok, i missed the OC last night. instead, i went to see my friend gary play an amazing show. so, no regrets. but i hope kfan will email me personally and give me the skinny on what really went down in this episode! (though i do enjoy reading the best lines.)

here's a link to someone who posted some other good highlights.
i loved that bob seger line, but what's with all the seger lately? is he making a comeback? i swear i heard katmandu on the radio twice this week.

the episode was really underwhelming. obviously after watching scenes for next week, they're holding out on the good stuff for the final two episodes.
