mmm, i crave

Chicken Rings! What the hell are chicken rings? And why did I just eat a small order? Breaded, fried - chicken RINGS!!!! What the hell was I thinking? What were the marketers at White Castle thinking? CHICKEN RINGS - can you imagine something so not natural? Onion rings, I get. Onions suggest, at least, a 'ring' shape. Chicken? I don't get it. But at 3am they sure hit the spot!

I was out at a birthday party for a friend I kind of know from college. Half a dozen alumni were in town and at the party. I skipped the after party on some Canal Street loft to give directions to these old friends. I rode with them in their breaking down van (we were at the parking garage for twenty minutes trying to get it jump started) to their friend's place in Brooklyn. My plan was to get them there and then find a cab on fourth avenue. No luck. Two available cabs sped by. I gave in to my urges and raced across the street to the open White Castle. Mini-burgers and chicken rings! It was like I was in Queens, circa 1996. Out dancing (who knows why!) at the local Irish pub (a basement with smoke machines), my roommate and I would stumble across the street and find ourselves in White Castle. I can't ever remember a trip to that dive-y fast food joint that didn't result in a stomach ache the following morning.

Maybe a large glass of water will help.

tough animal spellings

felicity. there. i said it. i'm a boy who watches "felicity." not only do i watch it, i tape it. i 'time-shift' it. i allow myself to go out on wednesday nights - as long as i can come home and watch my taped episode of "felicity."

i love shaving. it's one of my favorite activities. and right now i'm low on shaving supplies. i own no shaving cream and i only have one type of razor blade (atra plus). i'm a fan of geo. f. trumper shaving creame. and i like having my choice of the gillette shaving blades (tracII, atra plus, sensor excel). i have not yet made the leap to the mach3. those angles just don't look comfortable. the reason i have so many atra plus blades dates back 8 or 9 months - they were on sale. i'm not one to pass up sales.

i had shaving creame - but the screw top to the tube was broken and it dried out. i tossed it. and i need to get to the 'art of shaving' to buy more. the store is way up town. and i don't ventue uptown.

i just finished shaving - the hot water is so relaxing. shaved my moustache and my neck - i think i'm going to put a beard in place. well, i'm flirting with putting a beard in place. i've got the sideburns (mutton chops?) and the bottom half of a goatee. connecting the pieces for a moustache-less beard wouldn't be that tough. there are parties this coming friday and saturday nights - i'll make my decisions then.

during my radio show in college i would interrupt halfway though and offer my "facial hair updates" to the campus at large. i did that for three and a half years. i miss giving those facial hair updates. writing the above felt good.

i hope i find some cool young woman to make out with this weekend. i'm so in the mood to do some making out.

two-way me: or, find the puppies

i hear there's a new weezer video that's all about puppies. or baby farm animals. i've been tuned to mtv2 for the last thirty minutes and i haven't seen it. what's wrong? shouldn't they be showing weezer videos every 15 minutes? isn't that the favorite band of everyone who blogs? or, am i just trying to stir something up? trying to create some sort of conflict?

there's very little conflict in my life these days. just the conflict of trying to convince myself to go to the gym on monday nights. sometimes, after a monday at work, i'm so in the mood for an episode of 'seventh heaven.' and that's just wrong. plain wrong.

i saw a movie last night called 'va saviour.' one of the main characters reminded me of a friend. i'm bummed that i haven't gotten email from her in over a week! i skipped a party she held in order to visit my family, and i get ostracized. taken of the email list! boohoo. no one likes me. isn't that what these entries are for?

i spent a lot of time this weekend working on my website. it still needs a lot of updates but i posted almost one hundred party photos from two weeks ago.

and i lost my work pager. it was replaced with a two-way pager. i never thought of myself as someone who'd utter the phrase "2-way me!" i guess i am.

how many people regularly mention their urge to urinate while typing? hmm...that wasn't supposed to come out like that. i need to pee. how many people type "i need to pee" in their online diaries? is america experiencing a case of too much information overload?

i'm jealous of my friends who own houses/condos/townhouses.
