marc must have the shakes by now
it's been off the air for a couple weeks so now seems like a good time to fill "The OC" void. first, Sports Guy Bill Simmons explains how "The OC" finally offers a suitable replacement for 90210 (he also deconstructs why only women watched "Friends" and why it was not a good show). as usual, his insight is pretty spot on even noting the unspoken disappearance of Marissa's sister halfway through the season.
then, Defamer sneaks an extra "OC"-related tidbit about Adam Brody and Rachel Bilson's off-screen romance into this Rush & Molloy related post about Lindsay Lohan's mammary glands, which have apparently hired their own publicist at this point.

i do sort of have the shakes. one of my oc watching friends sent an email to a group of us today about fox's scheduling of the oc next fall. it seems the show will air before new episodes of TRU CALLING. i responded to the email by highly praising TRU CALLING. i obviously need to see the tv doctor right away.

Marc must be the ONE fan of TC. Why that show is returning in the fall is beyond me. Personally I'm eagerly awaiting North Shore. Love the Brooke Burns.

that sports guy piece is soooo old. even plumley sent it around a week ago! brody and bilson? snooze, old news! c'mon paqui, i rely on you to filter CURRENT NEWS for us readers.
p.s. bring back swans crossings! and thirteen! and how about that season finale of gilmore? it gave me heart palpitations

swans crossing!!! tutu loves mila!
anyhow, yes the gilmore girls finale was top notch, capping a beautiful four episode dash to the finish. the season started off weak, got worse then somehow managed to pull itself together for a home stretch that has left me sad for the summer break. what a potentially joyful ending ruined by rory's mistake. oh, the sadness.

Actaully, they keep mentioning the sister, even up until the last episode, they just don't show her, so it's not a complete ommission.
Yeah. I love the OC.

Oh, and Jeremy, I think your GG review is top notch. These past few episodes have been great and I loved the season finale. So, does this mean you also watch One Tree Hill? Since it's on after GG, I watch it. Really I think it's one of the best shows, Dawson's Creek with sex and alcohol.
And one more thing! Fuck that loser who calls Friends a crappy chick show. It is what it is. It's no Arrested Development or The Office, but it's a fucking funny show. Suck my dick!
Finally, Jamie, I thought of you when I saw a preview for a new Andy Richter show about teenaged quintuplets. Do you think it will be good? I hope so b/c I know how much you love him!

The gf got me watching the O.C. near the end of the season, and I'll probably be back for the beginning of next season. But am I the only one who misses "Boston Public"? Or at least the one-season stretch when the episodes were nice 'n' smutty and not comically lurid?

i was on board for the Boston Public thing for a few months, but they def crossed the line to painfully bad pretty quickly. it was like every bad/sordid thing that ever happened in any high school anywhere suddenly got boiled down and concentrated in the halls of one school. and they completely gave up on character development.
Claire, somehow i had missed the new Andy Richter project (probably for the same reasons i was two weeks late on the OC article), but i am officially excited now. but i never liked Friends, though i had both a roommate (Michelle) and a wife who were crazy about it.

Finally saw the Friends finale last night. Not good.
Am I way too late to ask if anyone else likes Aqua Teen Hunger Force?
Posted by: jake | May 21, 2004 10:55 AM
i will happily voice my love for the aqua teen hunger force. i love them all, especially the meatball, but if i had to pick a favorite it would be the cool, calm and collected milkshake. i have never seen a more wonderfully twisted show.

I have become obsessed with the Aqua Teens. The theme song rules. It's like the official show of Apt. 311 in the Chastleton, just several years too late.
